Meet the Team
No, we are NOT Elsie and Vi from Coronation Street. We are two friends from the South of England who have known each other for many years. We are of the 'getting on a bit' variety and have long and fond memories of the good old days of television. We were talking about the celebrity prosecutions and jokingly said 'Aunt Sally will accuse Wurzel Gummidge next'. Then the conversation became a bit more serious as we recanted the reality of the prosecutions so far and the realisation dawned that the Yewtree prosecutions WERE that silly.
The failure of Yewtree to secure any convictions made them look incompetent and the acquittals of a long list of celebrities made us wonder if they would stitch somebody up to save face. We really did suspect the Metropolitan Police might do that; look at the Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six. Yes the police DO stitch up innocent people to boost their own credibility and save their own jobs, so we wondered, just wondered if anybody would be set up. We suspected something amiss with the Rolf Harris arrest and we became a bit concerned.
Rolf Harris's trial was looming and when it came we both kept a close eye on it. We believed he was being stitched up way back then because of the ridiculousness of the Tonya Lee interview on A Current Affair. She told two differing stories in the space of a few minutes. First Rolf had his hand down her pants feeling her up...then she forgot she said that and gave the account again, this time he DIDN'T have his hand down her pants and she emphasised that he didn't touch her skin or anything. The two accounts were completely opposite to each other, she was making this up!

We knew that it was impossible for a jury to find Rolf guilty based on that fabrication and as that cock and bull story had gone to court, the other stories were likely to be fabricated rubbish too. In fact if the Metropolitan Police had taken the Tonya Lee story as far as prosecution and constructed a case around that nonsense, they had probably constructed the whole thing. THE ONLY EXPLANATION IS THAT THE METROPOLITAN POLICE MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTED A CASE AGAINST ROLF HARRIS...THEY WERE SETTING ROLF HARRIS UP! And don't forget THERE WAS A METROPOLITAN POLICE OFFICER ON THE JURY!
It was obvious Rolf wouldn't be found guilty and we were astonished when he was.
We had both followed the trial daily and throughout the whole proceedings there was never a shred of proper evidence presented. LITERALLY NOTHING!
We spoke about it on the phone and decided to become amateur sleuths and have a closer look at what went on.
Elsie lives in London and has easy access to The Queens Arms.
Vi lives in Cheddar and isn't a million miles from Leigh Park...a fair trek but this is so important we both got in our cars and travelled around to have a look for ourselves at the places Rolf was alleged to have visited.....or rather 'proven beyond reasonable doubt' that he had visited.....even though, as we discovered, he probably never had!
