Hi Elsie and Vi, I hope you're both well. My name is Adam and I am an award-winning playwright based in London. I have recently been commissioned to write a new piece which focuses on scandal, media portrayal and the impact on both the victims and the accused. Rather than be a simple analysis, I want to explore the human side of each situation; in a world where it appears that the media decides a person's fate before they've even stepped into court. Rolf Harris is a figure who is of particular interest to me. As your website highlights, there are still several questions surrounding the events which is exactly what I want to address in my play i.e. nothing is ever clear cut. Therefore I was wondering if either one of you would meet with me for a coffee or lunch (my treat) to discuss your campaign and why your belief in Rolf is so strong. It would also be interesting to hear why you feel he has received so much media attention and the impact this has had. Just to reassure you- whatever you tell me would never be included in the play, neither would any reference to yourselves and Rolf (you have this in writing).
